The University of Bielsko-Bia?a is a university in Bielsko-Bia?a, Poland. It was established in 2001 and was previously a branch of the Technical University of ?¨®d?.

The university has five faculties: mechanical engineering and information sciences; textile engineering and environmental protection; management and information sciences; humanities and social sciences; health sciences.

Most of the teaching is conducted in Polish but the university offers a Polish-language courses to help student improve their language skills. A few courses are offered in English such as the MA programme in International Management and the BA programme of English for Foreigners.

The machine-design, electrical and textile industries are traditional for the region, so many of the faculties at the university reflect this.

There are several inter-faculty units, including the department of foreign languages, the department of physical education and sport, the main library and centre of postgraduate studies and vocational training.

The campus also has student canteens and cafeterias and the university dormitory which can accommodate up to 200 students.

The Contemporaty Art Gallery promotes the works of students and young artists. There are also a number of students' festivals such as Juwenalia and the The Beskidy Science and Arts Festival.

The region of Bielsko is in a very central location and is easily reached from the major cities of Prague, Warsaw, Krakow and Vienna, making it a good location for students that wish to travel.

Many companies also have their headquarters in Bielsko-Bia?a and students are able to do work placements at these companies.

The university has agreements with about 100 institutions in more than 25 countries. The university is also part of the Erasmus+ programme which facilitates student exchanges across Europe.
