Faculty Operating Service (FOS) - Faculty of Medicine

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the full-time post of Administrator based on-site at Aldermoor Health Centre, as part of an administrative team.

This post is part of the School of Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education and is part of the Faculty Operating Service (FOS), which supports the Faculty of Medicine. The FOS is a professional service to the University led by the Associate Director of Faculty Operations. The service works to support those areas of work which provide essential services to the Faculties core business and underpins the achievement of the strategic objectives of the University.

You will have previously worked within an administrative role and hold a good knowledge of Microsoft IT packages. ?You will be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, with a good eye for detail, be proactive with a flexible approach, and have the ability to work with changing priorities and workloads. ?

The role is varied, as you will be the first line of contact for both internal and external visitors to the Department. ?Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, awareness of University processes and regulations would be an advantage.

Naturally, you will be able to build and maintain relationships with a variety of people across the Faculty and University.

??About the Role?

We are seeking a Regional Manager (Australasia, Americas, Europe and Projects) who can make a high-level contribution towards Flinders International student recruitment in collaboration with the broader International Recruitment team, International Portfolio, College teams and broader University to ensure the University meets its strategic objectives and targets.

As the Regional Manager you will be leading the development of recruitment plans and new initiatives to attract prospective international students to study at the University, with a strong emphasis on developing a positive team culture, personal and professional development and recognition of results orientated achievements. You will also be representing the University at relevant events (forums, international recruitment events & roadshows, etc.) at local, national, and international levels.

About You?

The ideal candidate will have completed a degree and have extensive experience, preferably in international education or marketing areas, or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and/or education/training.

To be successful in the role of Regional Manager you will demonstrate effectively working in a team and autonomously and have


	Highly developed interpersonal and oral communications skills, including cross cultural communication skills.
	Managing high end customer service delivery to clients, partners, and relevant stakeholders to support promotion of the University within designated recruitment markets.
	Experience in, and extensive knowledge of relevant frameworks and practices related to working in an international environment preferably international student recruitment and promoting international education.
	High level of written communication skills and evidence of report writing discussion papers and business plans.
	The ability to provide innovative solutions relating to business problems and new business opportunities and the experience in the use of technologies associated with this role.
	
	Ability to effectively manage a budget.
	


The position may require you to undertake interstate and international travel as required, including an expectation of working outside normal hours with restrictions on taking leave during peak work periods.

We are looking to recruit a Teaching Fellow to join our committed and enthusiastic team of anatomists in our goal to provide the highest quality student experience.?

The University of Southampton is a global centre for excellence in research and education and a founding member of the Russell Group. The Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences (CLAS) is part of the Medical Education group, in the Faculty of Medicine.?We are located at Southampton General Hospital where we benefit from?a resource-rich creative environment and the close proximity of our clinical colleagues.

Our principal role is to develop and deliver human anatomy teaching and learning for undergraduates. Teaching areas include gross anatomy, microanatomy, developmental anatomy and neuroanatomy. Members of academic staff also have curriculum management and development roles in the Faculty and wider University.

In this role, you will focus initially on teaching anatomy to undergraduate medical students studying on the BMBS programmes. Your teaching contributions will include practical sessions, workshops and lectures and you will take a leadership role in the delivery of areas of provision e.g. cardiopulmonary etc. You will contribute to the setting and marking of assessments and the analysis and evaluation of anatomy teaching. There will be opportunities to develop and deliver innovative teaching and learning approaches in anatomy and you may contribute to courses for a range of postgraduate professionals including surgeons, anaesthetists and other health professionals. In addition, there will be opportunities to undertake leadership, management and engagement activities within the Faculty.?

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic medical/anatomy/science undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in a related area. The successful candidate would have a detailed understanding and knowledge of anatomy and experience teaching anatomy within higher education. Experience teaching medical students would be desirable. ?
