The role

As a?Lifeguard you will be part of a highly motivated and organised Southampton Sport Team responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient daily operation of the facilities. Based at Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre on Highfield Campus. Lifeguard roles are?primarily?responsible for?working poolside as a lifeguard, but will also deal with customer queries,?preparing equipment, ensuring health and safety procedures are being following,?and being an ambassador for active lifestyles?at the University of Southampton.

We encourage applications for a full time or part time roles.?You will be working set hour working patterns,?full time is equivalent to?36 hours a week averaged over a number of weeks.

About you

We are seeking professional,?motivated,?and proactive individuals, who are brilliant team players.? Roles require strong customer service skills, you may be the first point of contact?dealing with a diverse range of?situations.?You?will be responsible for health & safety of all pool users and need to?always act professionally.

The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification?(NPLQ)?is?essential ;however we will consider those currently working towards the NPLQ?qualification.

This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which will be conducted during the offer process.

Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Fashion Interaction Design (Ref. 241031007)

The appointee will be required to

(a)? teach and contribute curriculum development at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels and supervise research students;

(b)? initiate, lead, and participate in research, consultancy, and other scholarly activities leading to publications in refereed journals and/or exhibitions, as well as awards of research grants;

(c)? undertake academic and departmental administrative duties; and

(d)? perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his/her delegates.

Applicants should have

(a)? a PhD degree in Fashion Interaction Design, Digital Fashion, Augmented and/or Virtual Reality Applications, Fashion Imaging Technology, AI-applications of Fashion Design and/or Fashion Business, Metaverse Technology, Programming Applications for Digital Retail Platforms or a related discipline;

(b)? sound knowledge in university teaching and research in fibre sciences, wearable technology, or other related areas in fashion design technology;

(c)? solid research and publication records in high-quality scholarly journals as well as promising potential in bidding for research grants and establishing significant externally funded research programs;

(d)? strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research; and

(e)? excellent communication skills and be able to use English as the medium of instruction.

Applicants should submit their fashion design portfolios, including copies of ten samples of their artwork in a digital format with a brief description of the artwork together with the completed applications.

Preference will be given to those with strong research orientation, potential to publish in high quality scholarly journals and/or exhibitions, and a good teaching record.

Applicants for appointment at Associate Professor level should have substantial years of relevant post-qualification experience and an excellent record of relevant academic and/or research achievements. Applicants with less experience will be considered for appointment as Assistant Professor.

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.? We are looking to recruit a Teaching Fellow to join our committed and enthusiastic team of anatomists in our goal to provide the highest quality student experience.?

The University of Southampton is a global centre for excellence in research and education and a founding member of the Russell Group. The Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences (CLAS) is part of the Medical Education group, in the Faculty of Medicine.?We are located at Southampton General Hospital where we benefit from?a resource-rich creative environment and the close proximity of our clinical colleagues.

Our principal role is to develop and deliver human anatomy teaching and learning for undergraduates. Teaching areas include gross anatomy, microanatomy, developmental anatomy and neuroanatomy. Members of academic staff also have curriculum management and development roles in the Faculty and wider University.

In this role, you will focus initially on teaching anatomy to undergraduate medical students studying on the BMBS programmes. Your teaching contributions will include practical sessions, workshops and lectures and you will take a leadership role in the delivery of areas of provision e.g. cardiopulmonary etc. You will contribute to the setting and marking of assessments and the analysis and evaluation of anatomy teaching. There will be opportunities to develop and deliver innovative teaching and learning approaches in anatomy and you may contribute to courses for a range of postgraduate professionals including surgeons, anaesthetists and other health professionals. In addition, there will be opportunities to undertake leadership, management and engagement activities within the Faculty.?

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic medical/anatomy/science undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in a related area. The successful candidate would have a detailed understanding and knowledge of anatomy and experience teaching anatomy within higher education. Experience teaching medical students would be desirable. ?
