Salem University is a Christian university located in Lokoja, Nigeria, that aims to produce students of integrity and character, who are strong in faith. The university’s inception comes from the education vision of Archbishop Sam Amaga, the founder and Archbishop of Salem International Christian Centre.
The university admits both undergraduate and postgraduate students who must complete the matriculation exam, as is a requirement in most Nigerian universities. Students can choose from a range of courses to study across six colleges, including: information and communication technology, management and social sciences, humanities, law, education, and natural and applied sciences.
Salem University Nigeria also has a Centre for Entrepreneurship Development. Students who take an entrepreneurship programme at the university will learn how to plan a new venture, develop a business mindset, and undergo practical training to prepare them for launching their own business idea.
