Baze University was established in 2011.
It is located in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.
Academically, the university is organised into 10 schools and faculties: faculty of computer science and information technology, faculty of engineering, faculty of environmental sciences, faculty of general studies, faculty of law, faculty of management and social sciences, faculty of medical and health sciences, faculty of natural and applied sciences, postgraduate school, and the school of medicine. Within each faculty are different departments, which offer a range of degree programmes at both undergraduate and graduate degree level.
The university established its Student Support Unit in 2017. It is responsible for addressing the educational, personal, vocational and emotional needs of all students.
There are a number of centres that facilitate research projects such as the Centre for Clean Energy and Climate Change, the Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Technology Centre, and the Peace and Anti-Conflict Journalism Research Centre.
