对于 University of Vaasa
The University of Vaasa is one of the largest business universities in Finland. It was originally established in 1968 as a school of economics and in 1980 it became a school of higher education. In 1991 it was renamed the University of Vaasa.
The university is located in Vaasa, a city on the Western coast of Finland. Vaasa is surrounded by the Kvarken Archipelago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site made up of 5,600 islands formed by the melting of the continental ice sheet over thousands of years.
The university is organised into four academic schools: the school of accounting and finance, school of management, school of marketing and communications, and the school of technology and innovations. There are a number of departments within each school offering courses at bachelor, masters and doctoral level.
Every academic year the university welcomes around 200 international students from across the globe as part of its academic exchange programme.
There are three multidisciplinary research platforms used by the university to help solve the challenges facing society. These include the Vaasa Energy Business Innovation Centre, the Digital Economy and the InnoLab, which specialises in innovation, public sector reform and entrepreneurship.
