Founded in 1991, Temuco Catholic University is based in Temuco, the capital of the Cautín Province and of the Araucanía Region in southern Chile.

It’s a derivative university part of the Chilean Traditional Universities. It’s a large university with over 9,000 students enrolled annually.

There are more than 50 undergraduate careers, 15 master's programmes, three postgraduate degrees and a variety of diplomas offered within the following faculties: architecture, arts and design, health sciences, legal, economic and administrative sciences, religious sciences and philosophy, social sciences and humanities, education, engineering, natural resources and technology.

Temuco Catholic University regularly hosts events, workshops and talks focused on different topics of interests so students can generate contacts in the business world.

The university is made up of five campuses. The main campus, Saint John Paul II, has plenty of facilities for students to enjoy including a modern sports complex, as well as ample spaces for students to go trekking in its large parks. There are also sports fields and tennis courts.

Being close to the Andean valleys and the coast, Temuco is a tourist destination and a great place for students to enjoy university life.
