Richard Page, minister for small businesses at the Department of Trade and Industry, this week announced a competition to encourage business awareness among biological science students. The Universities' Biotechnology in Business competition challenges teams of undergraduates to prepare business plans for "fantasy" biotechnology companies. The best plans get a share of prize money totalling Pounds 1,000.
