Ian Lang, Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, has appointed the following to the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council: Len Culhane, director of Mullard Space Science Laboratory and head of University College London's department of space and climate physics; and Brian Eyre, deputy chairman of Atomic Energy Authority (AEA) Technology plc and visiting professor at Liverpool and UCL universities. John Enderby, University of Bristol, has been re-appointed for a second two-year term.
