The University of Findlay is a private institution of higher education founded in 1882, and affiliated to the Churches of God General Conference. Findlay welcomes students of all faiths but it also maintains a close relationship with the CGGC through a board of trustees, shared teaching and worship spaces and a joint religious studies program.
The university offers more than 80 programmes of undergraduate study, 11 master's programmes and five doctoral programmes.?Its most popular majors include animal science/pre-veterinary medicine, pharmacy, ?equestrian studies?and biology.
Findlay also houses the Mazza Museum of International Art from Picture Books - the world’s first, and one of the largest, teaching museums devoted to the art of children’s picture books owning a collection of over 17,000 original artworks.
Students can play 24 intercollegiate sports, such as baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, indoor and outdoor track, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis and wrestling, lacrosse, softball volleyball, western and English equestrian riding.
On campus you can join over 100 organisations, based around special interest, student media, student government, music, theatre, service, academic honours, spirituality, and Greek sororities and fraternities.?Some of the intramural sports are flag football, basketball,?co-ed volleyball, billiards and bowling.?
Findlay’s 350-acre campus includes a beautiful main campus that offers open green spaces, advanced academic buildings, and on-campus housing. The Animal Science and Western Equestrian Riding Complex, English Equestrian Riding Farm, All Hazards Training Center, and a 55-acre wetland offer hands-on learning opportunities.
